The Infonyte XML Workbench (Screenshot) is a
graphical XML authoring environment for large documents
and document collections. Seamlessly integrated with the
native XML database Infonyte DB, it supports performant
creation, modification, exploration, querying, and
transformation of documents in the Gigabyte range with
only moderate and constant main memory consumption.
Implemented in 100% Java, it runs on any Java compliant
platform.
Supported features include:

A text pane for viewing and editing documents
and document fragments with syntax highlighting and
optional pretty print.

A tree view for quick navigation in large documents
and query results.

An integrated HTML viewer, optionally also integrated
with Microsoft Internet Explorer (Windows only).

A query facility supporting XPath and XQL.

An integrated persistent XSLT processor, supporting
on the fly generation of HTML, XSL-FO, and of course
XML from documents and document fragments.

Thereby, the Infonyte XML Workbench overcomes the
traditional separation between databases and documents.
Databases can be explored, edited, and transformed like a
document, and large documents can be queried and updated
